The Georgetown Prep Swimming and Diving team won the Washington Metros Championship on February 9 at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center.
The Hoyas recorded 356 total points, nine points better than second place Winston Churchill High School's 347 points. Walter Johnson High School placed third with 290 points.
Prep's 200-yard medley relay team of Luke Addington '20, Ryan Mathis '20, Dylan Danaie '21 and Brett Feyerick '21 placed first and achieved the All-America time.
Feyerick won the 100-yard backstroke and placed second in the 100-yard freestyle. Classmate Danaie placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke and 12th in the 100-yard fresstyle. Dave Fitch '21 placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley and seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke.
Gellert Kish '21 placed seventh in the diving competition while Jacob Morales '19 and Hamilton Sateri '21 placed 13th and 18th, respectively.
The 200-free relay team of Addington, Nick Spicer '20, Mathis, and Fitch placed second as did the 400-free relay team of Spicer, Danaie, Fitch, and Feyerick.
The Swimming and Diving team won their 19th consecutive I.A.C. title on January 23 and placed second at the WMPSSDL championships.
