Georgetown Prep's Debate Team concluded its regular season tournament competition on Saturday, February 4, at Freedom High School in Virginia.
Ayush Pamecha '18 captured first place in the tournament's varsity level Lincoln-Douglas debate competition. Charlie Pan '17, Zachary Wood '17, Ayush Pamecha '18, Ryan Frant '19, and Sanjay Gospodinov '19 tailed enough wins over the season to qualify for the league's 2016-17 "Metro-Final" competitions in March.
The team's freshman class took home multiple wins over the regular season in the novice-level competitions and will bring expertise and depth to next year's junior varsity roster.
